Ross Unveils SRT Codec Card for openGear: SRT to NDI & Cloud Integration | IBC2025
At IBC 2025, we speak with Darren Ward from Ross about the new SRT codec card for openGear. This six-channel encoder and decoder card offers flexibility with SDI and SRT transport, enabling seamless conversion between them. The card can be set for both input and output, and now integrates with the cloud for remote control using Dashboard software.
The OSG-8971 codec card is paired with the softGear streaming gateway for SRT to NDI transcoding, allowing for cloud-based processing and production workflows. Ross continues to lead with openGear, offering a multi-vendor platform that simplifies complex workflows and extends functionality across a wide range of broadcast environments.
